How the model was converted

The Z-Anatomy Blender scene was opened without running its embedded scripts, and each body system was exported with modifiers applied, triangulated, and compressed with Draco (glTF 2.0). Every structure keeps its original Z-Anatomy name (for example “Femur.l”). Curved vessels and nerves were converted to meshes. A lighter version of each pack is served to phones. Layers that wrap the muscles (fascia, sheaths, bursae) are kept in the data but hidden by default. Colours and materials are viewing aids added in the browser. 3,163 structures are selectable, plus 1,187 searchable landmarks taken from Z-Anatomy's label points.

Reference text in the Explorer

For minor structures without a written Human Atlas explanation, the Explorer shows a short reference excerpt from Wikipedia articles bundled with Z-Anatomy (CC BY-SA). These excerpts are labelled as such and have not been medically reviewed.

Illustrations

The tumour shapes in “Cancer concept” mode and the rings and colour changes in the age timeline are teaching overlays added by Human Atlas. They are not part of the anatomy data, do not show real tumours or measurements, and never assign a stage.

Welcome to Human Atlas

An interactive 3D atlas with male and female reference bodies, built on open, scan-derived reference anatomy, with plain-English men's health guides (female guides are coming).

Educational use only

The owner of this website is not a doctor. Human Atlas provides educational anatomy information and does not diagnose, stage, or treat disease. Talk to a qualified clinician about anything concerning your own health. The 3D model shows one adult male reference body; real anatomy varies from person to person, and some structures are simplified or not modelled. In an emergency, call 911.
